Bendtner out for 2-3 more weeks
Arsene Wenger gave a mixed update on his unending injury concerns following the victory over Stoke City.
On a plus note, the manager revealed his side may soon welcome that much needed boost in height with Diaby set to return and Song of course, who served his one-match ban today.
But it looks as though Wenger’s striker options will remain short as Bendtner’s recovery from surgery will now take a couple more weeks at least.
“We could get Walcott back, we could get Bendtner back in two to three weeks. We had as well Diaby and Song out today, they should be available next week.” he added.
After seeing Eduardo pull out of the squad yesterday, Wenger witnessed Rosicky, Eboue, and Traore all hobble off the pitch before Gallas limped into the dressing room at full-time today.
But the boss expects a quartet of Saturday’s injury woes to be shrugged off by next week.
“We had Eboue with a muscular problem, Rosicky with a groin problem, Traore a hamstring problem and Gallas a hamstring problem. We are hopeful that Eboue, Traore and Gallas are not too serious but Tomas Rosicky is out for a while.” Wenger said.
“Eduardo has a thigh problem, he had to stop training yesterday. It is a little recurrence, the medical staff tell me he could be available next week”
Keeping him out for 5yrs is even beter, wenger should go n buy a world class physical striker and a midfielder, we are so light in evry aspect. Imagine wen we played against chelsea, we could nt shot n instead we were faling down for penalty.
