The wait to see Krystian Bielik in action is set to be over.

Despite completing his transfer from Legia Warsaw more than a fortnight ago, Bielik has been omitted from match-day squads for the club’s reserves and the first team.

Arsene Wenger has cited a ‘lack of fitness’ as the reason behind Bielik’s absence, but the 17-year-old is finally set to pull on the Arsenal shirt for the first time.

Arsenal’s Under 21 side will make a tough trip to St. James Park after weekend for a clash with Newcastle, and according to Wenger, the new signing will be put on display along with a returning Serge Gnabry.

“Serge will play on Monday night at Newcastle, with Bielik.” Wenger siad

“Bielik is coming along very well.”

The Polish youngster was the only addition to Arsenal’s defensive midfield options during the January transfer window.

And after being handed the number 36 shirt and a place in the first team, the teenager could play a part in the remainder of the Gunner’s season.
