Big injury boost for Arsenal ahead of Swansea fixture, changes to line-up now expected
Arsene Wenger has been handed some positive news on the injury front heading into this weekend’s Premier League fixture.
The Gunners are set to travel to Swansea City knowing any more slip-ups could be detrimental to their title hopes after falling eight points behind league leaders Chelsea.
What has certainly helped the recent decline of Arsene Wenger’s side in the title race is the absence of key players; a very familiar problem in recent seasons.
However, ahead of the trip to Swansea, three players are expected to be welcomed back by Wenger after the FA Cup victory over Preston North End.
According to Metro, the likes of Mesut Ozil, Kieran Gibbs and Hector Bellerin are all set to be included in the squad for Saturday’s fixture.
Ozil, in particular, is yet to make an appearance in 2017 after apparently struggling to recover from an illness while Gibbs’s return could see Monreal handed a rest at the Liberty stadium.
Arguably the biggest boost of all is welcoming back Bellerin who was missed on last Saturday as Preston threatened to knock the Gunners out of the FA Cup with a terrorizing first-half display.
