Arsene Wenger has been boosted by the news that one of his key players is still keen on representing the Gunners amid rumours of a departure.
The Arsenal manager has seen several of his first team stars linked with a transfer move elsewhere following the exit of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the summer.
Mesut Ozil, who is yet to renew his contract at the club, has been rumoured to be on the radar of Premier League rivals Manchester United.
However, the highly-rated 29-year-old star has moved to play down claims that he is seeking a way out of the Emirates stadium.
According to Ozil, Arsenal is still the club he wants to play for.
“Obviously people are going to write and speculate. But I am 100 per cent an Arsenal player,” the midfielder said
“I want to perform here and have fun here. I’m enjoying my time here but I can’t say what will happen in the future.”
