Arsenal first team star reveals why he will not be playing
Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has explained why he will not be playing a part in Monday night’s FA Cup fixture.
The 26-year-old made his return from injury last month after spending more than half a year on the sidelines.
Despite scoring a brace in the previous round of the competition against Southampton, he is unlikely to feature in the fifth-round affair tomorrow.
According to Welbeck, who appears to be still working on his full fitness, the quality of the pitch at Sutton United means he will sit out the trip to the non-league side.
The former Manchester United striker featured for the club’s Under-23 side in their clash with Leicester City on Sunday and here was his tweet after playing…
Glad to get 70 minutes today to build up my match fitness. Plastic pitch at Sutton isn't the best idea at the moment. #COYG
