Carlos Vela’s official showing

Since Vela returned from his Spanish loan spell, all the talks have been about him finding his feet in England, but Arsenal FC had not really given Carlos the official salutation like other summer arrivals received.

That is, publicly unveiling the player with his shirt and the club did exactly that yesterday. The Mexican forward has finally been made to feel at home before he starts his football.

Vela had been training with the squad this week ahead of preseason and was to make a definite appearance against Barnet.

On Wednesday, after the daily routine, Arsenal officials called Vela up for his first interview and to formally hand him his club apparels at the training centre –  perhaps the introduction of a potential jewel in Arsenal’s ranks.
