The Gunners are now finishing up their preparations for the meeting with local rivals Chelsea in the Europa League final on Wenesday night.

Arsenal were the favourites to finish in third place in the Premier League in late March, when bitter rivals Tottenham were struggling to pick up points.

However, a dreadful collapse in the final two months of the season has seen the Gunners finish just outside the top four along with Manchester United.

Fortunately for Unai Emery’s side though, they have one last hope of securing a spot in the Champions League next season.

In order to return to the elite club comptetion in Europe, Arsenal will have to beat Chelsea in the final of the Europa League in Baku on Wednesday.

The last time the Gunners faced the Blues back in January this year, they were able to secure a 2-0 win and Emery will be hoping for a repeat of that result this time.
