Chelsea appear to be intent on repeating their tactics from last season and years before in next Sunday’s trip to the Emirates stadium.
The blues are set to lock horns with the Gunners for the first time since January in what will be their toughest away game so far this season.
Despite Arsenal’s impressive run of three straight victories in the Premier League, a poor run results in recent meetings with Chelsea means a few fans will be nervy about the upcoming fixture.
And according Thibaut Courtois, Antonio Conte’s side will look to remain defensive and hit Arsenal on the break as they did in last season’s 1-0 win which saw Per Mertesacker sent off before Diego Costa scored.
“It will be a hard game and we should react after two disappointing games at Swansea and losing at home to Liverpool.” he said
“The next game away at Arsenal we should try to win like last season.”
The Gunners, who did manage to beat the blues in last year’s Community Shield, have not defeated Chelsea in a Premier League clash ever since the 5-3 win at Stamford Bridge in 2011 which saw Robin van Persie score a hat-trick.
