City sign Tevez, Adebayor now 50/50?
Manchester City have officially announced the signing of former United striker Carlos Tevez.
The Argentine had been a target of a host of clubs and some had hinted even Arsene Wenger might have been lurking for Tevez, but the 25 year-old has landed where he was bound to.
There was indeed a notion that Mark Hughes turned attention to Emmanuel Adebayor due to Tevez’s stalling deal.
Football’s richest club had vowed to lure either of Carlos Tevez or Emmanuel Adebayor, and have now succeeded in capturing their bigger target.
With Tevez adding to a loaded bunch of strikers on Manchester City’s list, a deal for Arsenal’s Togolese could well be put on ice.
Sky Sports revealed earlier today that the Eastlands club had began talks with the lanky striker, with a £20 million proposition to Arsenal set to be made.
Both parties were only ‘locked in talks’ and Adebayor’s deal may have been pending on the progress of that of Tevez.
Could this mean City may pause their pursuit of Adebayor? Or could the fact that even Samuel Eto’o is also being chased by the Manchester side mean they just want a collection of strikers?
This saga may have just began and it will not end soon forsure.
