Classic Shot: Look where Theo Walcott is sitting
Welcome to the second installment of Red London’s new feature for the new year, Classic Shot. (Each week, a memorable but scarce picture taken behind the scenes at Arsenal football club will be published for a flashback of some of your favourite times as a Gunner)
Vieira and the Invincibles took the shot last week, but today’s will take you back to 2006 when Wenger’s men made that unforgettable run in the Champions League. The picture below is of Sol Campbell and company in the away dressing room at Villarreal after the 0-0 draw on 25th April 2006 that sealed Arsenal’s spot in the Paris final.
It looks like back then Theo Walcott was nowhere near the senior member he is today.

Man this brings back memories…the confidence I had watching them walk onto the field. I just knew we’d win or win big. Regardless of talent. Theo, Jack, Gibbs, they have some way to go… To build that winning mentality.
Remember when Henry took a free kick; scored and asked Graham Poll if it was good enough?… Class, a hint of arrogance; but most importantly believing that we are destined to win.
wow.. brings tears seeing what we once had..
Top guns!
