The president of Olympique Lyonnais has confirmed that there have been contact made with suitors of Alexandre Lacazette.

The 26-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates stadium since last summer when a bid from Arsenal was rejected.

Reports from earlier today suggested that the Gunners had submitted a club-record offer of $56 million for the goalscorer, eclipsing the fee paid for Mesut Ozil in 2013.

And according to Jean-Michel Aulas, there have been calls received from those who are pursuing Lacazette even though the Ligue 1 side wants the Frenchman to stay.

“We have a very strong relationship with Alexandre,” the Lyon president said

“We are not going to do anything that could upset him, only if it was agreed in the beginning.

“We are in contact with the people who advise him and with some clubs that call us from time to time.”

“We remind you that the departure of Lacazette is not final. We want to keep him, we need a quality team and he is part of it.”
