Club official to travel to London for talks over Arsenal transfer deal

Arsene Wenger appears to be edging closer to offloading one of his out-of-favour forwards before the transfer window closes.

The Arsenal manager has admitted in recent weeks that he is intent on letting go of fringe players to trim down his 33-man first team squad.

One man who has been known to be heading for an exit for much of this summer is Lucas Perez, after a forgettable debut season in north London.

And according to reports, the president of Deportivo La Coruna is set to fly to London for talks over a transfer deal with Arsenal for Perez.

The 28-year-old has attracted the interest of his former club who are reportedly yet to match the Gunners’ asking price of £13 million.

Perez has already seen his shirt number handed over to new signing Alexandre Lacazette, and he was excluded from the Arsenal squad which played against Leicester City on Friday night.
