Another possible transfer saga involving Arsenal has been finally brought to an end following several weeks of speculation.

Despite securing the signings of five new players during the summer, the Gunners had reason to not be completely satisfied after failing to agree deals for the likes of Gonzalo Higuain, Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez whom they pursued.

And after being closely linked with a move for Germany international Julian Draxler, Arsenal have ended up on the losing side again.

The 23-year-old, who was apparently considering a move to the Emirates stadium, officially chose to join Paris Saint-Germain instead of Arsene Wenger’s side on Tuesday.

And after his rejection of Arsenal was confirmed following his arrival in Paris, the former Wolfsburg star said:

“I’m going to discover a new country, a new league, and I’m very proud to take this new step at a club which has become a benchmark in Europe and has signed a lot of great players in recent years.”

Arsenal may now have to switch focus to Dortmund star Marco Reus if they are still interested in recruiting a highly-rated attacking midfielder.
