Francis Coquelin has admitted he is also “frustrated” by Arsenal’s current position in the Premier League as the season comes to an end.
The Gunners were in pole position to win their first league title since 2004 following the struggles of major rivals Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool this term.
However, a poor run of results in the second-half of the season has seen Arsene Wenger’s men go from leading Leicester City to falling 13 points behind Claudio Ranieri’s men who appear to be bound for glory.
According to Coquelin, one of the team’s most used players, the sight of Arsenal still playing catch up in April is hard to take.
“When you look at the potential in the team we have, it’s normal that the fans and everyone expects us to win the title. It hasn’t happened for so long and you can understand the frustration of the fans, and we all do get frustrated as well, because we do want this title. We want it badly as well.” the Frenchman said
“The word is frustration. With the talent we have we can do something special. We have six games to do something right, we need to at least win the last six games for us, and for the fans, because they deserve this.
“I understand the fans because I was just a fan when I was injured for two months, you feel it more.
