Arsenal new boy Dani Ceballos has revealed the player whom he believes is the best player at the club and his choice might surprise some fans.

Before the end of Arsene Wenger’s reign at the club, the Gunners managed to secure a number of high-profile signings to bolster what was a weakened attacking unit at the time.

The former Arsenal boss did well to secure the additions of players like Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang before he was asked to leave the club at the end of the 2017/18 season.

Unai Emery has inherited a very formidable strike force as a result of those transfer moves and there is no question that the best player at the club will have to be one of the talented attackers in the squad.

Due to the fact that he has been the team’s top scorer ever since his arrival in January 2018, many would have chosen Aubameyang as the best player at Arsenal.

And despite his inconsistent form, there is a section of the Arsenal faithful who still believe that Mesut Ozil is the top man at the Emirates stadium.

However, perhaps to the surprise of some fans, Dani Ceballos insists it is Lacazette, an earner of £140,000-a-week wages (Mirror), who is actually the most gifted star in the team.

“We’ve got a very good, compact side and the three up front really make the difference. You can compare [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang to Cristiano [Ronaldo] when he was at Madrid in the sense that he plays close to the goal he lives for scoring.” he said (via the Daily Mirror)

“He’s very important for us, fundamental. [Nicolas] Pepe is very direct. And [Alexandre] Lacazette, for me, is the best player: he understands the game perfectly and, if he’s 100 per cent, he’s going to give us so much.”
