Dani Ceballos sends a message to Arsenal fans after playing on Saturday
Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos had a message for the Gunners faithful after featuring in the club’s friendly against Charlton Athletic at the Emirates stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta’s men appeared to be on course for a positive finish to the season after a string of solid displays in the Premier League which brought them within touching distance of the top six.
However, the outbreak of the Coronavirus resulted in the campaign being halted for three months as elite football in other countries across Europe was suspended.
After resuming training a couple of weeks ago, the Gunners decided to hold a friendly affair with Charlton Athletic at the Emirates stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Featuring in the clash with the lower-tier outfit was Dani Ceballos, who is still on loan from Real Madrid for the remainder of this season at least.
Following the match which saw all three of Arteta’s strikers Aubameyang, Lacazette and Nketiah get on the score sheet, Ceballos dropped a message for the fans on social media.
The Spaniard showed his appreciation of the Emirates stadium crowd – which was missing on Saturday – as he cheered the team’s return to action.
🙌🏻We're still missing you, but this is already something. Being in the Emirates… I've got no words. Less time left to get back at it! Let's go Gunners!💪⚽️@Arsenal #PremierLeague #Return #VamosArsenal pic.twitter.com/il0UQM6V1W
