The Gunners ‘finally have their man’ with only a day left in the transfer window, according to BBC journalist David Ornstein on Wednesday evening.

The fact that Arsenal finished last season with one of the worst defensive records out of all of the top six sides in the Premier League means Unai Emery’s search for new defenders has been a necessary task for a while.

Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney has remained on the Gunners’ radar, even though it has sometimes appeared this summer that the pursuit of the youngster would prove to be an unsuccessful move.

David Ornstein is now reporting that Tierney is finally on course to join Arsenal after an agreement was secured between the two clubs on Wednesday.

The BBC journalist has revealed that a medical is scheduled to take place tomorrow as the 22-year-old closes in on his much-anticipated move to the Emirates stadium, right before the transfer deadline.

Should Tierney seal his move to Arsenal, he will be competing with Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac for a spot in the starting eleven.
