Arsene Wenger has agreed to let go of one of his young guns heading into the 2017/18 season.
The Arsenal manager has done well to keep hold of most of his best players over the past couple of years with Serge Gnabry being the only major sale last summer.
However, the Gunners appear to be open to ditching some fringe players and youngsters from the youth ranks.
Chris Willock, who had been rated as one of Arsenal’s most promising prospects, has now been allowed to join Benfica.
Some reports are claiming the 19-year-old turned down the offer of a new contract at Arsenal to sign a five-year deal with the Portuguese side.
