Deal close as BBC journalist reveals Arsenal will agree move for new man by next week

BBC journalist David Ornstein has once again revealed the latest regarding the Gunners search for a new manager to replace the departed Arsene Wenger ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Following the end of the season on Sunday as Arsenal secured a 1-0 victory over Huddersfield Town to secure a rare away win in the Premier League and say goodbye to Arsene Wenger, the club is now in search of a new manager.
The Gunners were last in this position 22 years ago and therefore, the decision over who will be taking over from Wenger is a much-anticipated one for most fans.
Former Premier League star Mikel Arteta has emerged as the favourite to be handed the Arsenal job and it appears as though his return to the Emirates stadium is edging closer.
According to BBC journalist David Ornstein, the Gunners are expected to agree a move for the new manager by next week with Arteta still leading the race.
Arsenal close to appointing boss, next week likely. Start of continental model: head coach slots into predefined structure, will contribute to recruitment decisions & have veto. Transfer targets were discussed with interviewees, pre-sales budget ~£50m #AFC https://t.co/dNG5Txudmo
