Denilson learns mistakes over Hull upset
By Randy Osae
As another hectic weekend of Premier League action approaches, it’s apparent there are boiling minds among the men involved. Denilson is no exception – filling a kernel role in Arsenal’s midfield all season – and feels there will surely be amends from shamefully succumbing at home to Hull City in September.
According to the Brazilian ace, Arsenal’s mission will not just be revenge over the Tigers on Saturday but to take advantage of their current position in the title race and continue a constant push.
The 20-year-0ld also analyzed differences of last season’s flamboyant form and that of this term but argues that grinding out recent 1-0 wins over Portsmouth and Bolton is just enough.
“They surprised us in that game. For them to come to Arsenal and win 2-1, that was very difficult. We need to concentrate this time and we will do, I believe in the team and in this game we will be strong against them, not like last time.
We need to concentrate this time and we will do, I believe in the team and in this game we will be strong against them, not like last time. We feel we can still win the league. And in every game now, and in every training session we are concentrating and being focussed on that.
It’s different this season – last season every time we played we were winning but this season has been a lot more difficult, sometimes we have lost, sometimes we have drawn. This is normal for a football club, but we have to improve, so every game we win, it’s ok even if it’s just 1-0.
You can play well, you can have a lot of possession, but the most important thing is to win. To win 1-0[against Bolton] is ok because we have won, if we had lost or drawn it would have been difficult with Liverpool going more points in front. All we have to do is win at the moment.”
he should rather do the job on the pitch thn be more concerned about makin press statements!
All this will count for nothing if they beat us again. I doubt that they’ll beat us this time but it will be down to the boys to leave it all on the pitch come game day.
This season is not over guys,we can still catch up. If anybody was in doubt, chelsea and liverpool just reassured us. Let the season begin.
Long live arsenal, long live wenger
Spot on guys.
