‘Disgraceful player, Sell him tonight’ – Some fans attack Arsenal star after City loss
Several Arsenal fans have taken to social media to bash one of the senior players from the team which featured against Manchester City on Sunday evening.
The Gunners went into the clash with Manchester City at the Emirates stadium on the back of their first win in nine games as they somehow managed to defeat West Ham 3-1 on Monday night.
With that rare win coming right before the big clash with Pep Guardiola’s side, Freddie Ljungberg decided to choose a similar line-up to the one from the victory over the Hammers.
That saw Sokratis retain his place at the back, as he was paired up with Calum Chambers. The Greek veteran has been criticized along with several other defenders from the squad for his erratic shows this season and that did not change on Sunday.
After watching Sokratis feature against a very prolific Man City attack, several fans took to social media to share their thoughts…

£17m for Sokratis instead of £19m for Soyuncu and £3m for Evans.

Sokratis has just been terrible the whole season but the whole @arsenal fanbase forgets because he pulls off one good tackle/block while proceeding to be out of position for practically almost all the goals the concedes during a match

Sokratis is a 0/10 footballer against good opposition.
He is a 0/10 footballer against decent opposition.
And he is a 0/10 footballer against terrible opposition.

Sokratis is supposed to be the most experienced in the back line and he couldn’t take charge of this at the back. It’s like these players just go home after training without doing their own individual analysis of the team they’re playing against. No passion or hunger #afc

Sokratis yellow so he misses next game vs Everton (A). At least something positive out of this game…
