The Gunners have now wrapped up the signing of another player, ahead of the start of pre-season fixtures later this month.
New Arsenal manager Unai Emery has been much busier in the transfer market this year than his predecessor Arsene Wenger was during last summer.
After securing the additions of Stephan Lichsteinener, Bernd Leno and Sokratis Papastathopoulos, there was always a hint of more signings being on the way for the Gunners.
The Gunners had been linked with a move to secure the services of Lucas Torreira for much of the summer so far.
And after all of the speculation, Arsenal finally announced on Tuesday that a deal had indeed been agreed for the Uruguay international to move to the Emirates stadium.
According to a report by the Guardian, Torreira’s move to north London will cost the Gunners only £26.5million, which could be considered as a cheap deal in today’s market.
