Dortmund’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has addressed rumours linking the club’s current manager Thomas Tuchel with a move to Arsenal this summer.

Arsene Wenger is yet to extend his contract at the Emirates stadium as his team looks set for another campaign without winning the Premier League title.

As a result, various claims have suggested that the club has gathered a shortlist of potential replacements for the current Gunners boss.

A report earlier this week indicated that Thomas Tuchel had been approached by Arsenal over a move at the end of this season.

However, when asked about his possible switch to north London, the Borussia Dortmund manager was as coy as ever with his response.

And now the club’s CEO Watzke has maintained the same stance.

“It is a fact that nobody from Arsenal called us. We’re taking about completely fictional stuff here,” Watzke was quoted by Goal.

“Some day in May we will sit down and analyze this season. He is still under contract here for another year. That’s why I don’t understand all the speculation.”
