‘Eboue will be out for a while’
Emmanuel Eboue and Cesc Fabregas will definitely miss Saturday’s trip to Aston Villa.
Arsene Wenger has confirmed the duo are facing a spell on the sidelines after being forced off in the 2-0 defeat against Braga.
Fabregas’ hamstring problem saw him withdrawn for Samir Nasri before Eboue was carried off with an injury late on, leaving his side with a man short for the closing stages of the match.
Wenger has not set any time frame over Eboue’s recovery but expects Fabregas to miss nearly a month.
“Eboue will be out for a while and we will have to asses Fabregas tomorrow. It could be two to three weeks.”
“It is very disapointing because I had a hesitation to play him before the match started. I took the gamble and it back-fired on us.”
