A wildly optimistic Eduardo will cheer on the Gunners from the stands on Saturday.

The 25-year-old is limited to activity on the sidelines due to a short-term groin injury he sustained on Wednesday night.

But he is maintaining positive belief that Arsenal could perhaps finish where they did last season.

The Croatian is among some boosting returns of injured key men and insists that welcoming back the rest of the best can see Arsenal leap-frog more sides than just Aston Villa.

“What is important is that we are defending well and the performances are coming,” he said.

“There are a lot of great players coming back now – Walcott, Fabregas, Tomas Rosicky and Adebayor – and it will be okay.

“I think we can be in the top three in the Premier League.”
