Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has named a much-changed team ahead of tonight’s clash with FC Zurich at the Emirates stadium.

With the Gunners failing to qualify for the Champions League by a narrow margin last term, Mikel Arteta knows his side will still have to prioritise the Europa League as a potential route to Europe’s elite club competition next season.

Following last week’s defeat to PSV, Arsenal will have to match the Dutch side’s result at the very least if they are to retain their place at the top of Group A in the Europa League.

Of course, the reward of finishing top in the group means the Gunners would avoid a tricky play off in spring 2023; a pair of fixtures which might come as an unnecessary distraction in a hectic season already extended by the upcoming World Cup in late November.

Thus, Arteta has named a fairly strong team for the clash against Zurich tonight with the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Aaron Ramsdale starting while Mohamed Elneny makes his return from injury.
