Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny had a message for everyone after making a very rare start in the Premier League against Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

The Egyptian international moved to the Emirates stadium almost three years ago in the winter of 2016 when Arsenal were battling for the Premier League title against Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners are in a different sort of battle this season as they continue to challenge for a mere place in the top four after failing to qualify for the Champions League in the last two campaigns.

Elneny was handed a rare start for the Gunners on Saturday as Burnley visited the Emirates stadium.

Thanks to goals from Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and second half substitute Alex Iwobi, Arsenal were able to see off their opponents in a 3-1 victory.

It was a rare Premier League appearance for Elneny, whom many expected to be sold by the club before the season started.

And here was the midfielder’s message on social media for everyone after the game…
