Emery speaks on plans for new signings in January
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has spoken on what the club’s plans will be in the January transfer window after the loss to Southampton over the weekend.
The Gunners have been linked with various players as usual with the opening of the winter transfer window now just around the corner.
Some fans have called for Unai Emery to strengthen his attack in January with the likes of Dembele and Pavon seemingly available for the right price.
Apart from the need for more attacking players, Emery might have to decide whether it is necessary to sign another defender, following Rob Holding’s serious injury against Manchester United.
The new Arsenal manager is known to be a man who is never afraid to chase his targets in the transfer market and his first ever winter transfer window at the Emirates stadium is now just over a week away.
When asked about his plans for January, Emery admitted that the club will see if there are players out there who can improve the squad.
“I don’t know now, because we don’t have a lot of possibility in January but if we can [we will find] someone to help us.” the Arsenal boss said
“But only if we think they are the player than can help us with good performance.
“January is not good for this reason, but we are going to look and the club is working for this in January.”
