Arsenal now in contact to sign 24-year-old after Unai Emery request
Arsenal are now looking to secure the services of yet another new signing in what has been one of the most active summer transfer windows at the club over the past decade.
The Gunners have made a number of changes at the club, ever since Arsene Wenger was allowed to leave for good back in May.
Unai Emery’s arrival has seen Arsenal secure the services of several new players, including the likes Stephan Lichsteiner, Bernd Leno and Lucas Torreira.
And according to reports in France the Gunners are now looking to complete a move to sign Andre Gomes from Barcelona.
The midfielder, who has a release clause of £88million, is reportedly the man whom Emery has requested the club to make a move for.
Arsenal did agree a transfer deal with Barcelona after the last World Cup before this summer as Alexis Sanchez was signed from the La Liga club following the tournament in Brazil.
Arsenal have entered into contact with Barcelona midfielder André Gomes, according to well-informed French outlet @parisunited6.
