Emery on whether this Arsenal star will be dropped against Tottenham
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has spoken on whether Mesut Ozil will be back in the starting eleven when the Gunners face fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday.
The new Gunners’ boss has so far witnessed his side put together a staggering 18-game unbeaten streak in response to the defeats which came against Manchester City and Chelsea at the very start of the 2018/19 season.
One man who played a regular part in Arsenal’s unbeaten run until last weekend is Mesut Ozil, a player often criticized for not showing enough passion and commitment on the pitch.
The former Real Madrid star was left out of the team which played against Bournemouth last weekend in a 2-1 win for the Gunners as Emery later revealed that it was only a tactical decision.
Ahead of the big meeting with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, the Arsenal boss was asked whether Ozil will be dropped again.
“I don’t know because tomorrow is the last training, but every player is very important with their qualities.” Emery said
“We need to continue preparing and continue improving in our work and as a team with bigger performances and individual quality. I will prepare for the match with every player.”
