Emery picks out two squad positions where new signings are needed

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has spoken on the type of player he is looking to sign with only a few days now left in the January transfer window.
The Arsenal boss has been urged by fans to make some sort of move in the transfer market with the team’s hopes of finishing in the top four still uncertain even after last weekend’s win over Chelsea at the Emirates stadium.
Emery has been rumoured to be keeping an eye on several players but the club’s inability to gather enough funds for a permanent transfer deal has become an issue.
Following Danny Welbeck’s season-ending injury a couple of months ago, the Gunners have been linked with more and more attacking players.
The Arsenal manager recently confirmed that the club would be only able to sign players on loan until the end of the season.
And when asked about what type of players he is looking to sign, Emery was eager to pick out two areas in the squad where strengthening will be needed.
“The idea is firstly to find the quality and this quality can help us. We need, if he can come here, a winger for the right or left or some players also at centre back.” the Arsenal boss said
Regarding the need for a centre-back, Emery added that the return of Mavropanos had made things a little better.
“But now, Dinos Mavropanos is coming back after his injuries and I think I can use him in the next matches.” he added
