Arsenal soon 125 years!
In 2011, Arsenal Football Club will celebrate its 125th anniversary.
Ever since its founding in 1886, Arsenal has emerged as one football’s kings of clubs, with an illustrious history which consists of 13 league titles, 10 FA Cups and more.
For nearly a century and quarter, we have witnessed this club produce great managers, great players and great moments.
So to fans of clubs who barely have more than five titles to their name but still disregard Arsenal’s prestige, the video below is or you.
And to all you gooners, please share with us how and why you became an Arsenal fan after watching this compilation.
Arsenal will be 125 years very soon!

One flaw: you assume chelsea and spuds fans have the ability to read the header to tell them to watch it.
good video, truly great club.
Wherever. Forever. Arsenal.
We are all with you my kings. Bring it home.
Great stuff…. I felt shivers down my
spine;-)
great video……………..
Would love to have seen more of the history shots and it ended abruptly but great start. My oh my don’t I love The Arsenal.
GREAT video!
Thanks ever so much. I can’t believe I didn’t see the error of my ways before now – but please rest assured I am now an Arsenal supporter and will be for ever more.
Christ you guys are unreal – posting this with missionary zeal from a south London club who had to move home and then had to bribe their way out of relegation before becoming a club that treats football like a passing exercise and forgets that the basic premise is to score more goals than the opposition.
Oh good sarcastic self righteousness from a supporter of a team that will dissappear back into mediocrety once the new FIFA rules come into place. Count your trophies loser.
Go and take your face for a shit – nothing exciting happening on your own blogs then.
Best club in the world. Class runs through it.
Amazing stuff – Spuds eat your hearts out!
”It’s up for grabs now…Thomas”
”look at that…look at that, Brady”
This Video Is Arsenal. Classy. Presitigious.
Born Arsenal! Great video – nice to see that fishing for a bite from Chelsea fans is still as easy as ever, little disappointed that the spuds haven’t come out to play..?
Having watched the video I am now ready for the new season. Fetch it on!!
As for ChelseaR he’s probable only 2years old!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video.
I started supporting Arsenal because Bob Wilson’s hair looked like a good place to keep corks.
Seriously.
Great compilation. I have got tears in my eyes.
I LOVE this CLUB so MUCH.
Arsene, buy a quality gk, a cd and a world class cdm and maybe we will end 5 year trophy drought.
Best wishes!
Actually awesome.
Found myself punching the air as if I was watching some of those goals live.
Kiaora (Greetings), I have referred to Arsenal Football Club as being my “Heart of Hearts” and the reason being is that one Sunday afternoon here in New Zealand, I was bored and turned the channel over to SkySports and there was these 2 soccer/football teams playing. One was called Celtics and the other was called Arsenal and it was the first leg of two games…I know now! lols.
I thought what the heck, and I began to watch this game and what caught my attention was this winger on the Right, working in tandem with what looked like his partner…To best describe how I viewed that scene is simply this…Andrey Arshavin floated like a Butterfly and the Russian playmaker totally captivated me….he Stung like a BEE, when he netted that ball for a Goal. And that is when this KIWI Girl decided to find out more about this very stunning club…and as much as I resisted the temptation, I fell in LOVE with the whole entire club. Because it is well managed from the top downwards, also is transparent and has a “Social Input Group”,
made up of supporters who on behalf of fans domestically and globally represent us at the highest level…The Professor is of course a favourite of mine and I enjoy receiving his manager’s e-mails too.
Cheers from Aotearoa (New Zealand).
Loved it!
Started following Arsenal in the 70s. I’m from Irish background and Arsenal had a lot of Irish players in the team back then.
Pathetic. The title (and Arsenal’s lack of)says it all really. Like you have spent the last 5 years, you know the future consists of Arsenal looking over their shoulder rather than looking forward. A club with next to no sporting ambition. You’re a profit making machine that only cares about robbing their their moronic support of every penny with inflated season ticket prices and merchandising. Still at least you’ve got your clock back to note the last time you won anything. I’d rather investment on the pitch buts that’s just me.
I don’t know what team you support Steve but for teams compete in football today a team needs money. So how those a team get money 1 you win by getting a sugar daddy 2 you borrow it and run up large debt 3 Have a sugar daddy and still run up debt no matter how they hide it with off shore accounting or 4 the way Arsenal have done it build a new stadium and live within your earnings.
I would also point out the cost of attending football in London costs about the same for must normal fans and Arsenal do not charge much more than other clubs for match day tickets and we get lot more.
I still remmember 7 years ago when I was 9 my dad had went to London and he got me Henry’s shirt (he thought it was actually a man utd shirt)so a year later I saw Henry playing and I watched the Arsenal play for the first time and it was like love at first sight and the rest as they say is history (Egypt’s biggest gooner)
How sad. Do Arsenal fans support Arsenal or just hate other clubs? It’s like man who instead of compliment his wife, spends all day attempting to mock others. What’s the matter, not being satisfied at home?
I suspect so.
Not see the point of referencing Chelsea and Spurs fans here?
Interesting how the video washes over the whole woolwich affair.
Brings a genuine tear to they eye.
And regardless of when Cesc leaves I will forever hold him as an Arsenal great. He has/had real affection for the club and sometimes that’s all I ask.
Arsenal have one thing Chelsea can’t get: Pride! Chelsea have bought most of their success and Tottenham simply have never had any. Sweden is packed with supporters for both Arsenal and Liverpool FC. Football lovers have been able to watch English first league football on swdish tele since 1969 and massive clubs tend to get many followers. Look at Chelsea again: is it an exaggeration to say that most of their supporters today joined after the rubel flow started and that they follow a first team of magnificent players, not a CLUB with historical pride? I’m sure Arsenal will start winning silverware again soon. A part of me, the red part, fears that Arsenal might be close to bevome unbeatable in the near future when all of the bright shining younglings, brought in by Wenger, have grown some more … 125 years, what a foundation! Congrats.
Why can’t Spurs fans offer us any argument that doesn’t involve the club moving up from Woolwich nearly 100 years ago? The club moved because it was based in an area where there were no people (and no money) to come to matches – the owners had to act because Arsenal were on the brink of bankruptcy. Arsenal is now our club, and over the last century the community supporting it has gone from being virtually non-existent to becoming an international fanbase. Please give it a rest and think of something relevant to say.
The stinking yids are obsessed with our history joe, thats mainly because they aint got any themselves. As for chelsea, I honestly dont even hate them, they`re just a small club with a rich owner and it wont be long before they are back fighting relegation and promotion battles, like they have done for most of their pitiful history. But, back to the stinking yids for a moment, maybe one of them can tell us when they started playing in north london. The Arsenal started playing there in 1913, whilst the smelly ones were still playing in middlesex. Maybe they should move back there when they build their new pig style.
History,Pride,Glory, class something the plastic chavs will never ever get.
This team could at times simply take the breathe away!
Arsenal until I die!

Long Live The Arsenal!!!
I started playing football…..than bought fifa 01….. first team was arsenal…..started winning……watched arsenal’s matches…… fell in love!!
happy to be part of this memorable celebration,
God bless arsenal.
Started diggin into my family history around 1999. Found that I am a cousin of Kanu. I also started playing FIFA 01 after having to switch from actually playing football [soccer…eww] to playing American football. I still needed my footy fix so I chose my favorite team to watch and play as in the game. In 2003, I got to go to a Liverpool Arsenal game, and fell in love with football all over again. I didn’t realize that beyond the 94 WC, that just being a football fan is the most complete and fulfilling experience in all sport. Since then, I fulfilled my last yr playing college football [American…at CMU] and decided to fly to London and see another game. I saw Newcastle Arsenal. It was a wrap.
Long Live the Arsenal, from an American Gooner!
