Arsene Wenger has not always been keen on bringing back his former players to the club but there may be an exception on the way.
The Arsenal manager last made a U-turn when he secured the services of Mathieu Flamini, five years after the Frenchman’s move to AC Milan.
And rumours broken by Talk Sport are suggesting that the Gunners are plotting a move to re-sign Oguzhan Ozyakup.
The 25-year-old was forced to leave north London a few years ago after failing to make a name for himself at the club.
But following a couple of impressive seasons in Turkey, Ozyakup is back on the Gunners’ radar.
Thus, Arsenal are reportedly ready to pay a bargain fee of £11million for the midfielder who was once on their books.
The Gunners are also fine with cancelling the 30% sell-on clause they were supposed to receive if Besiktas sold Ozyakup.
Granit Xhaka’s erratic form so far this term has seen many call for Wenger to spend again during the winter.
