Just over three years ago, Jack Wilshere was just another Arsenal academy boy giving his all to mingle with the big boys at London Colney. Fast forward to today, and the boy is now the heart of Arsenal’s team, the proud owner of the number 10 shirt, and an established name in the Premier league. Oh, and a father too.

Such is his meteoric rise to fame and fortune that as recent as 2009, the soon to be 21-year-old was begging to receive rides to the training ground. But today, on the brink of signing a new contract with the club, Jack Wilshere became the owner of a sparkling new car.

The English international already revealed last week that he is set to put pen to paper on a new deal with Arsenal – a deal which makes a lot difference in not just the world of unsettled Arsenal players who run down their contracts and leave, but also in the world of Wilshere who will be saying hello to a massive pay rise.

Arsenal’s renewal of Wilshere’s contract is frankly more about commitment and reward for the player than transfer business because Wilshere signed a new contract not so long ago in 2010 when his wages were increased from £15,000 a week to £50,000 a week. Nonetheless, the Nasri, Van Persie and now Walcott situations will tell you this is an imperative decision by the club whether money is the motivating factor or not.

Anyway, here is Wilshere’s new buy. A flashy white Bentley. Hopefully Arsenal FC will also have it’s own new buy or two this January.
