From zero in London to hero in St. Petersburg.

At this time last week, Andrey Arshavin was only playing with the Arsenal reserves as they visited Carrow Road.

Fast forward by seven days and the Russian ace is back in his country with his old club Zenit St. Petersburg and feeling at home again. Within a week, Arshavin has gone from Arsenal’s much-maligned No. 23 to Zenith’s much adored No. 29

Indeed, the 30-year-old received a more than warm reception from the Zenit faithful during the weekend as he completed a loan move to the Russian side for the rest of the season. Arshavin was welcomed at Zenith in the cheerful manner in which Thierry Henry returned to Arsenal last month.

Posters of ‘Arshavin is back’ went on sale along with the forward’s new No. 29 jersey as Arshavin gained even more popularity in his homeland on his comeback.

As always, Red London has got a few shots for you to check out. Enjoy!
