The main news of concern at the moment is – with all care – Cesc Fabregas’ withdrawal from international duty rather than Barcelona’s latest talk of tapping up Arsenal’s ace.
After starring in Spain’s 2-1 victory over Armenia in which he scored, Arsenal’s skipper flew to Barcelona later on Saturday.
The 22-year-old was accompanied by Barcelona pair Xavi and Carles Puyol to the Catalan capital with “a serious family matter” reported to be the motive behind his urgent trip back home.
An initial guess had been that Fabregas was expecting the birth of his first ever baby from fiancee Carla, but his sister Carlota Fabregas hinted the actual news on her personal twitter page.
Carlota stressed that her grandfather was in a serious medical condition and had been admitted to the hospital last night.

With his country already qualified for the 2010 World Cup, Fabregas will be excused from Spain’s midweek match anyway but hopes are it all goes well for Cesc.
