Fans react to Lucas Torreira’s performance against West Ham
New Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira received rave reviews from the fans on social media after playing in the clash against West Ham on Saturday.
The Gunners spent money on buying more players than usual in the summer, following the exit of Arsene Wenger.
Lucas Torreira was one of the players who was brought to the club by new manager Unai Emery.
The 22-year-old has not been handed any starts just yet, after completing his move to north London from Sampdoria after his country Uruguay were knocked out of the World Cup.
Torreira managed to make another appearance off the bench on Saturday in the London derby against West Ham at the Emirates stadium.
The Uruguay international’s efforts helped Emery’s side secure a 3-1 victory over the Hammers after coming back from a goal down in the first half.
It was a pleasant display from Torreira, whom many are expecting to make a difference in the Arsenal midfield this season.

Torreira is a must in the starting eleven. Am sure Emery won’t do the mistake of not starting him again. You could see the difference when he come on.

We almost looked like a different team yesterday once Torreira was introduced. Not only did Xhaka look much more comfortable alongside a partner who’s capable defensively, but Lucas used the ball very well & dictated the tempo of the game. Hopefully he starts against Cardiff.
