Five-year contract agreed as Arsenal star closes in on departure
The Gunners are set to say goodbye to one of the longest-serving players in the current squad according to reports from Thursday.
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger got rid of several players during the 2018 January transfer window as the likes of Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud moved elsewhere.
It remains unlikely that there will be a mass exodus this month but one player who appears to be on the brink of an exit is Aaron Ramsey.
Indeed, according to a report by Italian outlet Sportmediaset, the midfielder has completed a pre-contract agreement to join Juventus.
Ramsey has reportedly agreed to sign a five-year contract worth €6.5m-per-year with bonuses after holding talks with the Serie A giants this week.
The Welshman’s contract at the Emirates stadium is set to expire this summer, and therefore he is currently allowed to speak to any club of his choice about a move.
Reports from Italy are even suggesting that Ramsey’s impending move to Juventus could be confirmed this month.
