It has now been three years since the Gunners last won a piece of silverware, and even though that might feel like a while ago to some fans, it is nothing compared to the nearly decade-long trophy drought which was finally ended in 2014.

With Arsenal yet to secure another trophy ever since that dramatic afternoon at Wembley, it is worth taking another trip down memory lane to recap how the Gunners stunned the Premier League champions of 2017.

Heading into the FA Cup final three years ago, Arsene Wenger’s side had failed to secure Champions League football for the first time in the Frenchman’s reign, with domestic silverware serving as the only glory left to battle for in a frustrating season.

The idea of a third FA Cup triumph in four years was appealing but it was no foregone conclusion, considering the fact that Arsenal’s opponents in the final was a Chelsea outfit who had comfortably clinched the Premier League title under Antonio Conte.

Would the Gunners’ luck shine right at the end of an otherwise forgettable season or would Conte’s formidable side prove to be too strong to beat for Wenger’s men?

Here is how the story unfolded at Wembley….
