Arsene Wenger has reportedly considered naming Jeff Reine-Adelaide in the squad to face West Bromwich Albion this weekend.

The 17-year-old has rarely featured for the first team since joining the club from Ligue 1 side Lens in the summer, but he could be handed a place on the bench on Saturday.

Reine-Adelaide was called upon to train with the senior squad on Friday along with fellow youngsters Alex Iwobi, Vlad Dragomir and Joshua DaSilva.

However, the Frenchman was omitted from the Arsenal U21 side hours later as they faced Stoke City. The Gunners’ youngsters were beaten 1-0 at home by the potters in a game which featured the likes of Iwobi and Bielik.

With Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlian still out, Arsene Wenger will be short of attacking options at West Brom as he was against Tottenham a fortnight ago.

Reine-Adelaide, who showed promising form during his debut for Arsenal in the Emirates Cup, is likely to be included in Saturday’s trip to strengthen an Arsenal bench which last had Kieran Gibbs as a super-sub.
