Worries of a limping Gael Clichy on Saturday should be neglected as Arsenal’s punctual left-back has been given the nod by hospital scans as fit and available for selection.

There were fears after Kevin Davies’ slide in a 50/50 challenge, but the only damage to Clichy’s leg were bruises NOT a fracture.

Fortunately, he was able to rejoin his teammates back home to London.

In other news, the adulthood and mutual respect between long football managing rivals Arsene Wenger and Alex Ferguson has improved – especially off the pitch. Thus, the pair were spotted at a ceremony by the LMA (League Managers Association) and displayed cordiality to each other.

Both managers emphasized views on various football issues on the night – stressing the importance of considerable contracts regarding managerial sackings and echoed sentiments in agreement with Kevin Keegan and Alan Curbishley’s exits.

While Wenger talked about admiration and respect between them, Ferguson broke the ice revealing the pair have shared and enjoyed many glasses of wine and meals during coaching conferences.

Later in the event attended by Fabio Capello and co, Alex and Arsene were caught sharing a few laughs and drinks as well. Unless United’s early season bleep is of a willed withdrawal from this season’s title race, then the two are to get fiercer for sure.
