BBC pundit Gary Linker applauded the Gunners’ makeshift left-back on Sunday after watching him set up the vital equalizer in the dramatic clash with Everton at the Emirates stadium on Sunday.

Arsenal were searching for their second straight win in the Premier League as they welcomed Everton to north London, having beaten Newcastle 4-0 at the Emirates stadium a week before Sunday’s fixture.

Mikel Arteta first chose to hand Sead Kolasinac a rare start following the former Bundesliga star’s return from injury but after facing yet another fitness blow, he was replaced by Bukayo Saka midway through the first half.

With Arsenal desperately in need of a goal as they trailed 1-0 to the Toffees, Saka curled in a sublime cross which was gracefully met by Eddie Nketiah.

It was one of several contributions the young winger – who is temporarily featuring at left-back – has made this season, as he recorded his tenth assist of the campaign.

And after watching how Saka set up that goal, Gary Lineker applauded the youngster on social media for his brilliance.
