Gary Lineker reacts to Arsenal winning 4-1 vs Palace without Sanchez
Former England international Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to react to the Gunners’ comprehensive display against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.
Arsenal ended a run of three matches in the Premier League without a victory, courtesy of a four-goal burst in the first half which helped to see off Crystal Palace.
Nacho Monreal opened the scoring with a header and then assisted both of the next two goals for Alex Iwobi and Laurent Koscielny all inside the first 13 minutes.
Alexandre Lacazette then rounded off a brilliant move to make it 4-0 after 22 minutes as the France international ended in his long drought in the Premier League.
This was an emphatic win which many did not see coming perhaps, following reports of Alexis Sanchez’s imminent departure and the Gunners’ poor run of results recently.
And what happened at the Emirates stadium on Saturday certainly prompted Gary Lineker to make a remark…
Arsenal are struggling to cope without Sanchez. It’s taken them 14 minutes to score 3.
