Former England international Gary Lineker has expressed his thoughts on one of the most divisive figures in the Arsenal squad after the north London derby.
The Gunners went into Saturday’s clash with incessant criticism from fans and pundits to deal with after the 3-1 defeat to Manchester City two weeks ago.
And one of the players who was severely bashed by many for his display against Pep Guaridola’s side was Mesut Ozil who had endured a stop-start season so far.
However, the 29-year-old produced an improved performance on Saturday which saw him set up the opening goal for Shkodran Mustafi in the 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
And that has seen BBC pundit and former Leicester City striker Gary Lineker slam Ozil’s critics on Twitter…
He’s a class act. Just because he doesn’t charge around like a headless chicken he’s seen as lacking commitment. Utter tosh. https://t.co/9LYk531l2H
