Gary Linker is already expecting another disappointing Premier League campaign from Arsenal next term.

The Gunners are preparing for a season without Champions League football for the first time in the 21-year reign of Arsene Wenger.

Even so, last Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the FA Cup final might have handed certain fans some encouragement about the club’s progress heading into next season.

However, BBC’s Gary Lineker is tipping Arsenal to miss out on a top four finish for the second year in a row.

“Arsenal have got a long way to go at the moment, they’re a long way behind,” Lineker said

“If you ask me now whether Arsenal are going to be in the top four next season, I would say most probably not.”
