Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has expressed his admiration for one of Arsene Wenger’s singing from the summer transfer window.
The Gunners were urged to secure the addition of new defender after failing to take advantage of a great opportunity to win the Premier League last season.
Wenger addressed his side’s defensive issues by breaking his miserly spending habits to sign Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia in the final week of the transfer window,.
The Germany international is yet to lose a game in an Arsenal shirt after forming a solid partnership with Laurent Koscielny.
And according to Neville, Mustafi is just what the Gunners needed.
“Mustafi has got an incredible amount of natural ability and talent, good physical capability and I think with age and maturity he will grow into being a fantastic defender,” the ex-Manchester United defender told Metro.
“He’s got all the attributes you would want. I think that ultimately it will help him playing along Koscielny who has got experience there playing at Arsenal. I think he’s got all the makings of it.
“Defenders will mature with age and I think he will get better and better.”
