German boy drafted in tonight’s squad for Oxlade-Chamberlain
Serge Gnabry has been included in the 18-man squad to face Fenerbahce today.
The German youngster enjoyed involvement with the first-team during the pre-season tour of Asia and has now been rewarded with a place in the squad for the vital trip to Turkey on Wednesday night.
Gnabry’s inclusion was forced by the absence of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who could take until December to return to action after suffering a knee injury in Saturday’s defeat to Aston Villa.
But it is not all about the negatives for the Gunners after Bacary Sagna and Kierran Gibbs – who were withdrawn from the opening game of the season with injury concerns – have been passed fit to face Fenerbahce.
And back in action is Nacho Monreal who participated in the squad’s preparations at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium today.
