Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez came up with a very important contribution for the Chilean national team in their clash with Ecuador on Thursday night.
The 28-year-old finished last season as one of the best goalscorers in Europe’s top leagues after managing to score 30 goals in all competitions for Arsenal.
Sanchez followed that up by leading his country all the way to the final of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup where they lost narrowly to Germany.
However, after enduring a rough spell with the Chilean national team which came on the back of his failed move to Manchester City during the final week of the summer transfer window, the former Barcelona man is beginning to redeem his form.
On Thursday night, Sanchez scored a crucial match winning goal in the 85th minute as Chile secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Ecuador in their World Cup qualifier.
