New Arsenal signing Takuma Asano made sure this weekend was one to remember for his temporary club Stuttgart on Sunday. 

The Japanese international, who joined the Gunners during the summer transfer window, has been finding his feet in Germany after being sent out on a season-long loan as a result of not receiving the work permit he needed to play in England.

Asano, who has featured regularly for Stuttgart in the second division of the Bundesliga, was yet to register his first goal for the German side since making his debut in early September.

That barren run was brought to an end on Sunday as the 21-year-old chose the biggest occasion of all – a derby against Karlsruher – to open the scoring for Stuttgart.
