The Nigerian international was part of his country’s squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Iwobi’s reported new deal is set to extend his contract by two more years and therefore, he will be committed to the club until 2022.
The young midfielder, who has attracted the interest of Lazio, AC Milan and Everton, did receive criticism for his erratic performances during last season.
